The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 was showcased earlier this month in Dubai and now the convertible version has been shown to the public at the 2017 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Under the hood, the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 carries the same LT5 6.2-Liter supercharged V8 engine as the coupe model. This engine delivers 755 horsepower and 715 lb.-ft of torque. The power is transferred to the rear-wheels via a 7-speed manual transmission. An 8-speed automatic transmission is also available.
Just like the coupe model, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 convertible will be offered in two aero packages namely – Low Wing Package and High Wing Package. The Low Wing Package boasts low downforce and less drag, delivering a top speed of 212 mph. The High Wing Package delivers a track-level downforce but a reduced top speed.
The official statistics reveal that the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 convertible could go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds or less.
The automaker has also mentioned that the new ZR1 will be available with a new exhaust system with four different modes including Stealth, Tour, Sport, and Track.
The sales will begin in spring of 2018. The coupe model will be priced at $119,995, whereas the convertible version will cost $123,995.
