Toyota recently removed covers from its new and redesigned Toyota Camry and now the 2019 Toyota Avalon has been revealed by the Japanese automaker at the North American Auto Show held in Detroit.
The new Toyota Avalon rides on the elongated version of the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) modular platform which measures 196 inches in length and is 0.7 inch longer than the predecessor model. This increase in length improves the sedan’s interior space as well.
On the inside, the 2019 Toyota Avalon offers some impressive luxury amenities. Customers can now opt for real wood or metal trim. The front dash incorporates a 7.0-inch touch display with a navigation system, Wi-Fi hotspot, Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa support.
Powering the 2019 Toyota Avalon will be a 3.5-liter V6 engine, whereas a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder hybrid unit will be available as well. The automaker did not officially announce any details regarding the powertrain, however, we know from the Camry that the V6 unit produces 301 horsepower and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The standard safety features on the 2019 Toyota Avalon will include automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warnings, active lane control, blind-spot monitors, rear cross-traffic alerts and more.
We cannot confirm at the moment when it will arrive in the UAE.
