Toyota’s luxury car brand Lexus has introduced the 2021 Lexus ES sedan with a number of updates. The most important of all is its all-wheel-drive configuration to attract potential customers.
The AWD system is standard on both the ES 250 and ES 350. The base ES 250 retains a 2.5L engine good for 203 horsepower. While the power goes to the front wheels when you drive, the AWD kicks in when it detects a slippery surface sending 50% of the torque to the rear wheels at that time.
The 2021 Lexus ES 350 carries a 3.5L V6 generating 302 hp. The hybrid ES 300h has the base model’s 2.5L inline-4 that gets assistance from batteries to create 215 hp.
For the ES 350 F Sport, Lexus is offering the Black Line Special Edition package that adds black accents on side mirror caps, wheels, and rear spoiler.
The new ES costs $40,925 (inclusive of destination charge). The production will happen in Toyota’s factory in Georgetown, Kentucky. For reference, the 2020 ES starts at around AED 195,000.
