Nissan has facelifted the pint-sized crossover Kicks for the 2021 model year and what we see is admirable. The 2021 Nissan Kicks features better styling, more tech, and great standard safety facilities.
On the front, we can see a “Double V-motion” grille, available LED headlights, and an edgier front bumper. All these make the new Kicks bolder and more aggressive. On the rear, we find redesigned taillights with an LED light bar stretching across the trunk lid. The rear bumper is also updated to give the vehicle a lifted appearance.
Nissan has also introduced three new paint choices: Electric Blue Metallic, Scarlet Ember Tintcoat (optional), and Boulder Gray Pearl. The two-tone paint selection is also available.
Inside, the 2021 Nissan Kicks gets a new seat and door trim for the SV and SR, a complete center console with an armrest, and advanced tech. The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard which you can use on the standard 7.0-inch touchscreen or the new optional 8.0-inch touchscreen.
Nissan did not make any changes under the hood, so the sole option is a 1.6-liter four-cylinder churning out 122 horsepower (163 horsepower) and 114 pound-feet (154 newton-meters). The engine mates to a continuously variable transmission.
The 2021 Nissan Kicks offers buyers three trim levels: S, SV, SR. The Premium package is optional but only for the SR.
We did not receive pricing details from Nissan but we believe the Kicks will still be one of the most affordable crossovers on sale next year. The outgoing model starts at AED 59,900 in the UAE.
