The next-gen BMW Z4 Concept has been displayed at the Pebbles Beach Concours d’Elegance. Fans should expect the production model to launch sometime in 2018.
Talking about the design, the BMW Z4 Concept features a low-slung profile and a short rear deck. The front fascia sports a shark-nose design comprising of the BMW signature kidney grille with mesh style instead of the traditional vertical bar slates. The new stylish LED headlights can also be seen on the front.
On the sides, sharp character lines flow all the way from the front to the rear deck giving the Z4 concept a sporty look. At the back, unique L-shaped taillights along with integrated ducktail rear spoiler and dual exhaust tips further enhance the overall persona of the Z4.
On the inside, the BMW Z4 concept includes a digital gauge cluster with touch-sensitive buttons and a head-up display.
Powertrain specifications have not been revealed by BMW, but reports indicate the Z4 production model will be powered by a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Another possibility is a 3.0L turbo 6-cylinder unit, while the transmission will most likely be an 8-speed automatic or 6-speed manual.
