Hyundai Motor Company has confirmed that it will launch its brand new compact SUV, the Hyundai Creta, in Africa and the Middle East this November. The versatile new model, which will be Hyundai’s most affordable SUV, is set to make its presence felt with its dynamic styling, robust build and Modern Premium approach.
The Hyundai Creta is Hyundai’s debut entry into the growing compact SUV segment where it will compete with models such as the Renault Duster, Nissan Juke, Ford Ecosport and Chevrolet Trax. Its launch in the region further strengthens the Korean brand’s acclaimed SUV line-up which already features the All-New Tucson, the Santa Fe and the Grand Santa Fe.

Displaying the stylish looks for which new Hyundai models are renowned, the Hyundai Creta features a sporty profile and a stable, confident stance. The harmony between the car’s bold front, voluminous side and sporty rear is noticeable. Finishing touches include 17-inch alloy wheels and chrome fog lamps ensuring that this compact SUV stands out from the crowd.
The Hyundai Creta is the latest Hyundai to follow the company’s Modern Premium brand direction, and at an affordable price point. Inside the high quality cabin, which features silver chrome finishing and a soft touch dashboard, every detail is designed to provide the utmost comfort and convenience. The dashboard is a hub of useful technology including a 7” audio video navigation system, smart key with push button start and fully automatic temperature control with cluster ionizer.
In line with Hyundai’s commitment to produce the safest cars on the market, the Creta’s body shell has been developed using advanced engineering techniques and high quality materials including ultra-high tensile steel for more body rigidity and structural strength. The Creta can also be specified with six airbags, ABS, VSM, HAC (Hill Ascent Control), ESC (Electronic Stability Control) and RPAS (Rear Parking Assistant System).
When it comes to performance, Hyundai Creta is extremely versatile, and is available with a choice of 1.6 Dual VTVT petrol and U2 1.4 CRDi and U2 1.6 CRDi VGT diesel engines. Set to appeal to a range of customers across Africa and the Middle East, full pricing and specifications for this affordable compact SUV are set to be announced later this month.
