The nominees of 2016 North American Car and Truck of the year have been announced. Initially, 19 cars and 21 trucks have been selected for their respective category, but some vehicles will be knocked out of the list in the coming months. The upcoming Detroit Auto Show, taking place January 2016, will announce the two lucky winners.
The process is long and the vehicles must first go through an arduous assay. The current nominees are to be further shortlisted to get top 10 contestants for each category, that will go through the actual testing through the course of December, until the results will be announced in January 2016.
The award was won last year by the Volkswagen Golf and the Ford F-150. The competition is harder this fall, and here are the nominees in both categories.
